5 Time Management Tips to Try

I love life. I love to be busy and do absolutely everything I can. So…I like the idea of time management. It means I can cram in everything I want. It also means I can relax on occasion!!

It’s also necessary when let’s say you work multiple jobs, are in school, want to workout regularly, fulfill church responsibilities, serve in the community, and have a social life, etc. (And yes, I’ve been in all of those situations.)

5 Favorite Work Snacks

At my work I am so lucky to have a fully stocked kitchen just waiting for me to satisfy any craving. Problem? Eating to satisfy every craving is not a good idea if you’re trying to watch your waistline!

I mean picture a CEREAL DISPENSER full of peanut M&M’s. Yep. And an entire fridge filled with soda (which I don’t like anyway…so I guess that’s not a big deal.) One shelf taller than me filled with chips of every variety from Funions to Baked Potato Chips. It’s bad….

So I will either take the healthy snacks there, or bring my own to help with any cravings!

How to Turn Down a Job Offer

Recently, I had the opportunity to be offered a new position in my company. This was a new department they were creating and it was a chance to get in on the ground floor and create a new product with a new team. I thought it sounded exciting, but I was so new to the company I didn’t think I would even be considered.

The day of the application deadline for this new team came and my VP contacted me asking why I hadn’t applied. He encouraged me to do so and kindly offered to talk with me one on one if I had any concerns. He also let me know the specific qualities he saw in me that would make me the perfect candidate. So… I applied.
